TRANSLATION

Thereafter, at the conjunction of two yugas, the Lord of the creation will take His birth as the Kalki incarnation and become the son of Viṣṇu Yaśā. At this time the rulers of the earth will have degenerated into plunderers.

PURPORT

Here is another foretelling of the advent of Lord Kalki, the incarnation of Godhead. He is to appear at the conjunction of the two yugas, namely at the end of Kali-yuga and the beginning of Satya-yuga. The cycle of the four yugas, namely Satya, Tretā, Dvāpara and Kali, rotates like the calendar months. The present Kali-yuga lasts 432,000 years, out of which we have passed only 5,000 years after the Battle of Kurukṣetra and the end of the regime of King Parīkṣit. So there are 427,000 years balance yet to be finished. Therefore at the end of this period,
Kalki will appear 800 Years Just before the end of Kali Yuga incarnation of Kalki will take place, as foretold in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. The name of His father, Viṣṇu Yaśā, a learned brāhmaṇa, and the village Śambhala are also mentioned. As above mentioned, all these foretellings will prove to be factual in chronological order. That is the authority of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.

Kalki - A Comple Incarnation

Poornavatar or an Incarnation with full potency has sixteen 'KALAAS' or phases. Five of these he shares with human beings and other animals - the five doors of perception - sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. And other four he shares with human beings - mind, heart, intelligence and the 'TURYAVASTHA' or transcendence of intuitive experience.

The seven phases that follow are characteristic of a 'POORNAVTAR', an integral or all-inclusive avatar:

• Grace or reward for effort that fails to be rewarded though it has come from the deserving;
• 'ANUGRAHA' or special Grace whether the recipient merits it or not;
• The power to create a new order of life in society, new status of consciousness in individual or new objects;
• Power to support and sustain what is inherently good, which may happen to be defenseless;
• The power to destroy what is evil;
• The assumption of a form which, whenever it is recalled mentally or in the presence of the Avatar himself, affording a solution to the problem that beholder has in mind; and
• The assumption of a 'name', which has a similar potency

Kalki Incarnation shall have all the above mentioned powers to herald the Golden Age of peace and plenty - the Satyayuga. Since Kalki will be an Age making Avatar, he has to be powerful and potent.

Marriage and Progney of Kalki

He will marry Padma, the Avatar of Vishnu`s consort, Devi Lakshmi
and have two children, sons Jaya and Vijaya.

People Who will Identify Kalki Avatar

He will be identified by two of the Nine Immortals currently residing on the planet. They are characters from the Mahabharatha, Kripyacharya and Ashwatthama. The latter was cursed by the Krishna Avatar to suffer immortality with an ever festering wound as punishment for launching what seems to be only understandable as a primitive nuclear device. (I kid you not. There is even a description of radiation sickness and genetic mutations amongst the survivors.) Like the Wandering Jew of European myth he is doomed to stay alive and traverse the earth until the savior returns and puts him out of his agony. Ashwatthama's life covers the exact time span of the Kali Yuga. He was there when it began and contributed the single most horrifying intervention of evil to the age. First he broke the rules of chivalry by attacking at night while people were sleeping and using fire too. Then he launches this missile strike. Hence the severity of his punishment and the long wait for redemption. Since Ashwatthama was the last person to see Vishnu in his previous avatar, his casting vote will prove crucial in determining the authenticity of the Kalki Avatar.

People in Different Yugas

  1. In Satya Yuga the suras and the asuras were in different planets.
  2. In the treta yuga, there were in different countries [Ramayana].
  3. In Dvapara Yuga, the suras and asuras were in the same country [Mahabharat].
  4. In this age of Kali Yuga both suras and asuras are in the same body." A person in this age has both suric and asuric qualities, devotional service is the only way to purify ourselves.

Yuga Dharma - Spiritual Process - Weapon of kirtana

In Kali-yuga, a person should accept only one process, that is devotional service. According to what process is decided for a particular yuga, that should be followed by everyone without fail.

Quotation on Vyasa - Buddha - Kalki

“May Supreme Lord Vyasadeva protect me from all kinds of ignorance. May Lord Buddha protect me from activities opposed to the Vedic principles as well as laziness leading to bewilderment and forgetfulness of the Vedic principles of knowledge and ritualistic actions. May Kalkideva, who is considered the supreme descent of Godhead to protect righteousness, protect me from the dirt of the age of Kali.”

Prophet Muhammad as the Kalki Avatar How / How Not

Vishnu / Agni / Padma Purana Reference

The Vishnu Purana (Book Four, Chapter 24) also explains that, "When the practices taught in the Vedas and institutes of law have nearly ceased, and the close of the Kali age shall be nigh, a portion of that divine being who exists of His own spiritual nature, and who is the beginning and end, and who comprehends all things, shall descend upon earth. He will be born in the family of Vishnuyasha, an eminent brahmana of Shambhala village, as Kalki, endowed with eight superhuman faculties."

The Agni Purana (16.7-9) also explains that when the non-Aryans who pose as kings begin devouring men who appear righteous and feed on human beings, Kalki, as the son of Vishnuyasha, and Yajnavalkya as His priest and teacher, will destroy these non-Aryans with His weapons. He will establish moral law in the form of the fourfold varnas, or the suitable organization of society in four classes. After that people will return to the path of righteousness.

The Padma Purana (6.71.279-282) relates that Lord Kalki will end the age of Kali and will kill all the wicked mlecchas and, thus, destroy the bad condition of the world. He will gather all of the distinguished brahmanas and will propound the highest truth. He will know all the ways of life that have perished and will remove the prolonged hunger of the genuine brahmanas and the pious. He will be the only ruler of the world that cannot be controlled, and will be the banner of victory and adorable to the world.

Parents of Kalki

In this connection we find in the Padma Purana (6.242.8-12) the prediction that Lord Kalki will be born in the town of Shambala near the end of Kali-yuga from a brahmana and Wife who is actually an incarnation of Svayambhuva Manu and Wife. It is described that Svayambhuva performed austerities at Naimisa on the bank of the Gomati River for acquiring the privilege of having Lord Vishnu as his son in three lifetimes.

Lord Vishnu, being pleased with Svayambhuva, granted the blessing that He would appear as Svayambhuva's son as Lord Rama, Krishna, and Kalki. Thus, Svayambhuva and wife would appear as Dasaratha, Vasudeva, and then Vishnuyasha - Kaushalya,Devaki and then Sumati Respectively.

Kalki and Prophecies of Nostradamus

Nostradamus in the Prophecies has mentioned a world leader called Chiren or Chyren who will establish his rule over the entire world, listed below are the two quatrains which describe this world leader these references are to KALKI AVATAR who has been described as the tenth and final avatar of Vishnu in the Bhagavad-Gita(Chapter IV-7) which is the direct message given to mankind by God himself.

CENTURY VI VLXX
Au chef du monde le grand Chyren fera,
Plus ovltre apres aymé, craint, redouté,
Son bruit & los les cieux fur paffera,
Et du feul titre Victeur, fort contenté
The great Chyren will be Chief of the world,
Plus Ultra behind, loved, feared, dreaded,
His fame and praise will go beyond the heavens,
And he will he be more satisfied with the title of Victor.

This is a unique quatrain which describes a world leader as The Chief of the world such adescription has been used for the first time to describe a leader, there have been in the history of mankind numerous powerful leaders but none can qualify as being called .The key to this quatrain is the term Plus ovltre or Plus Ultra which means ‘nothing further beyond’,there can be nothing beyond or greater than an avatar of god, thisleader will prove this to the world and after this he will be loved and feared at the same time and will gain fame the like of which no one has experienced before him, this quatrain also states that he will not be interested in mere politics or office but will be satisfied with the recognition he gains from everyone, and will be a guiding force to setup the basic laws of humanity in the right direction.

CENTURY IX XLI
Le grand Chyren foy faifir d'Auignon,
De Romme letres en miel plein d'amertume,
Letre ambaffade partir de Chanignon,
Carpentras pris par duc noir rouge plume.
The great Chyren will seize Avignon,
From Rome letters like honey full of bitterness,
Letter and embassy to leave from Chanignon,
Carpentras taken by a black duke with a red feather.

This another quatrain which describes Chyren and his entry into France is described in where Kalki Avatar enters France and strikes all those who have nothing but evil in their minds with his rod. This is a symbolic quatrain which means that Kalki Avatar will set up his base or headquarters in France and operate from there as is seen by the phrase that all the embassies will send him honeyed or letters of praise when in fact there is bitterness and fear in their hearts, the embassies which means nothing but representatives of all the countries in the world will obey Kalki Avatar not out of their free will but out of fear and dread.

Info From Vishhal - This Blog Visitor

The wife of Kalki is named Padma who lives in Sinhala, which is commonly
known as Sri Lanka. However, as I mentioned before, this may be an allegorical
reference to an island nation, separate from his own country. In his endeavour to
conquer the "Buddhists" and other kings, he will be assisted by two kings allied to him,
apart from the king of the country in which he is born to and many other friends.

This island (Sinhala) is situated on the other side of the shore. The island has pure
water and is full of people. Full of various types of Aircrafts and decorated with
jewellery. The beauty of the island is enhanced by huge buildings and flags and
gates decorated in front of them.

  1. England is a island with fresh waters.
  2. Heathrow airport is the worlds busiest airport.
  3. Queen of england has lions on its flags.
  4. Buckingham palace has huge gates and beautiful stuctures.
  5. All the countries in Commonwealth their flags are also there in one of the palaces.
  6. England is in top 25 highly dense population per square mile.
  7. Wife of kalki is fairer then him, makes perfect sence she is british and thus white.

lord kalki predicted in the book of revelations

Here are interesting points to consider. There are verses from the book of Revelations in the Bible that are very similar to the above descriptions in the Puranas about Lord Kalki. These verses are so similar that they cannot be ignored and may provide additional insight for Christians and similarities they may share with Vedic culture. In Revelations (19.11-16, & 19-21) it states:

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, but no man knew but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat on the horse."

This sounds so much like the incarnation of Lord Kalki that it could hardly be anyone else. Surely, by the time Lord Kalki appears, no one will have the slightest expectation of Him or His appearance. No one will know His name. And His army of brahmanas will be as pure as if they had descended from heaven. At the time of Lord Kalki's appearance, He will kill the remaining miscreants and deliver the few saintly people from the present conditions of the earth, changing it back to the Golden Age of Satya-yuga. In this regard, Revelations (14.1-3) also describes:

"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb [a typical symbol for the Divine or an incarnation of the Divine] stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps; And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth."

One significant description in the above verses is that those who are redeemed from the earth will have God's name written on their foreheads. This is a widespread custom of the brahmanas in India to write the name of God, such as Vishnu or Krishna, on their foreheads. This is tilok, which is usually put on with clay made from the banks of a holy river. We often see this in the middle of the forehead in the shape of a "V" which represents the name of God and that the body is a temple of God, or the three-lined markings of the Shaivites. The Vaishnava mark is made while reciting "Om keshavaya namaha," which means "Salutations to Lord Keshava," another name of Krishna.

So herein could be an indication that when the last of society is delivered from the earth during the end times, they will be those who wear the name of God on their foreheads, at least according to these verses. Also, as in accord with other Vedic prophecies, we can understand that there will be very few people left in the world who will have any piety at all. So it would fit in with the Vedic prophecies that by the time Lord Kalki appears, there may, indeed, be only 144,000 who will be left in the world worthy of being delivered from the godless and chaotic conditions of the earth. Or these may be the seeds of the new civilization that will start the beginning of the next age of Satya-yuga.
By the time Lord Kalki appears, no one will have the slightest expectation of Him or His appearance. No one will know His name. And His army of brahmanas( Humble and Learned People) will be as pure as if they had descended from heaven. At the time of Lord Kalki's appearance, He will kill the remaining miscreants and deliver the few saintly people from the present conditions of the earth, changing it back to the Golden Age of Satya-yuga.

Theosophical Article by William Q. Judge

Timeline

Transformation Story

The Kurukshetra War was over, the Pandavas won the battle. Dharmaraja (Yudhistra) also called Dharmar, is known for holding the values of Truth (Satya) and Righteousness (Dharma) and hence the name Dharmar. He ascended the throne after the Kurukshetra War and his subjects lived peacefully and happily in his righteous reign. Then came this strange but interesting case.

Dharmar was in his court, along with his brothers and Lord Krishna. Two farmers came to him for deciding on a certain case. Of the two farmers, one sold his land to the other, lets call them the buyer farmer and the seller farmer. The deal was done and the seller received his payment from the buyer. The buyer after a few days of buying that land from the seller, starting ploughing and digging that land, and he struck some priceless treasure of rare gems and gold. The buyer was honest enough, so he took that treasure and went to the seller saying that he had paid only for the land and not for the treasure in it and the rightful owner of the treasure is the seller. The seller being equally honest told that the sale of the land has been done and anything from the land does not belong to him anymore and he said that the rightful owner was the buyer.

Both did not come to an agreement and thats when the dispute started (Strange isn't it, but remember that was in the Dwapar Yugam :)) and finally they decided to have it settled at Dharmar's court. The next day they went to Dharmar's court and explained the situation. Dharmar was really happy to see his subjects so righteous and he said that he felt really proud of both of them because of their righteousness. And Dharmar told that he does not want to give a verdict that will cause other to feel bad and asked them to both make a decision in his court. The farmers decided unanimously that the treasure be in possession of Dharmar until they come up with a decision and once they have decided who is to have the treasure, they will get it from Dharmar. Dharmar felt that it sounded like a plan and gave a nod. The farmers went for the moment leaving the treasure in Dharmar's possession. Dharmar felt really proud of the farmers' act.

Time passed by and things went on fine, until the same farmers who came to Dharmar's court came again with a different view of the earlier case. The buyer farmer now claimed that the treasure is his as he has paid the seller for the land and whatever he gets, either crops or whatever, is his. The seller farmer's argument was that he sold only the land and not the treasure, if he had known about that treasure, he would have either took it himself before the sale or would have charged the amount in the sale price. The farmers were arguing with the points reversed from their stand in the case when came earlier to Dharmar. Lord Krishna who watched all this smiled at Dharmar, who was confused a lot about this case. It was a case where the plaintiff and defendant had self-contradictory views over a period of time. He thought for a moment and gave the verdict that the treasure belongs to the government giving his explanation as follows.

The land of the buyer, which was previously with the seller before that sale, falls into his Empire. So all the thiings belong to his Empire unless it was a reward for some effort made towards a claim. In addition, the treasure was not the benefit of any effort made by either of them and hence the King (himself) vests all the right to property and possession of the treasure. The treasure shall be used for the benefit of the people of his Kingdom. The farmers were disappointed, but they could not fight the King and went back.

Now Lord Krishna rose to the fore and told Yudhistra that the time has come for them to leave this planet as He has seen the indications that Kali Yugam has started. And once Kali Yugam starts, they had no business there. Dharmar asked how Lord Krishna told that there are indications of Kali Yugam. Lord Krishna replied, that Dharmar who had the held the values of Truth and Righteousness, has slipped in the above case. Lord Krishna proceeded saying that though Dharmar had mentioned that the treasure will be used for the benefit of the people of his Kingdom, he had no right on the treasure and yet he found out justifications in the name of righteousness. And that, is the indication of Kali Yugam's arrival, even the most righteous will fall victims to circumstances and try to plunder and covet other's property. Dharmar realised his mistake and did as Lord Krishna suggested and the left Earth in a vimanam for good.

The aforesaid story clearly explains the spell Kali Yugam has even on the people who are determined. Think about the common man like you and me, unless the person has a great grit and determination to stand for the good, circumstances will lead him to unrighteous and immoral paths very easily, thereby taking them spiritually away from the path of Salvation. Of course, we can realise that with the events happening around us today, Kali yugam has a bad spell on everything that is on the planet, but this is just the beginning and there is a long way to go. Imagine the plight and sorrow people will have at the end.

Movies and KaliYugam

Legend says that at the end of the Kali yugam, human race will get to be contained within a feet or so. The mention about human race getting contained within a feet or so is unclear whether humans will grow only a feet or so tall, or will be contained within something that is a feet or so high, however a movie that has brought this legend to visual interpretation is "The Matrix" and the avatar, Kalki, will incarnate to rescue the people from their sorrows and plight. Nobody knows how the Kalki Avatar will be, but it is mentioned as the most modern of Avatars. Time has the answer, we will have to wait for nearly 4,27,000 years to see that

Terror now and ahead

The following is from the Srimad Bhagavatam:

By the time the age of Kali ends, the bodies of all creatures will be greatly reduced in size, and the religious principles of followers of varnashrama will be ruined. The path of the Vedas will be completely forgotten in human society, and so-called religion will be mostly atheistic. The kings will mostly be thieves, the occupations of men will be stealing, lying and needless violence, and all the social classes will be reduced to the lowest level of sudras. Cows will be like goats, spiritual hermitages will be no different from mundane houses, and family ties will extend no further than the immediate bonds of marriage. Most plants and herbs will be tiny, and all trees will appear like dwarf trees. Clouds will be full of lightning, homes will be devoid of piety, and all human beings will have become like asses. At that time, the Supreme Personality of Godhead will appear on the earth. Acting with the power of pure spiritual goodness, He will rescue eternal religion.

PURPORT

Significantly, these verses point out that most so-called religions in this age will be atheistic (psanda-pracure dharme). In confirmation of the Bhagavatam's prediction, the United States Supreme Court has recently ruled that to be considered a religion a system of belief need not recognize a supreme being. Also, many atheistic, voidistic belief systems, often imported from the Orient, have attracted the attention of modern atheistic scientists, who expound on the similarities between Eastern and Western voidism in fashionable, esoteric books.

These verses vividly describe many unsavory symptoms of the age of Kali. Ultimately, at the end of this age, Lord Krsna will descend as Kalki and remove the thoroughly demonic persons from the face of the earth.

End..

Those who surrender onto the supreme Lord, Lord krishna, will be freed from the cycle of birth and death after this life. The others will come back again and again and experience the pangs of life for many lifetimes. Things will only get worse in the future as Kali Yuga progresses.

Only complete surrender onto Lord Krishna can save you from the cycle of birth and death. Nobody else can, nobody else.
